Stablecoin Tether has transferred 7,629 bitcoin to its strategic bitcoin reserve account, a transaction totally about $700 million. The move occurred on Monday, December 30th from a Bitfinex exchange hot wallet.
Tether holds over 82,000 bitcoin, with a value of more than $7.6 billion. Tether announced plans to allocate up to 15% of its profits into bitcoin in May 2023.
